The Learning Center (TLC) supports the mission of 天涯社区log by providing services to students and faculty which facilitate instruction and learning, strengthen academic outcomes, and increase student retention.

I love learning. I love watching students achieve their goals. I love helping. I love listening. I am nosey. I am a mom, wife, counselor, mentor, friend, enemy, teacher, truth teller, advice giver, lover of music and bad T.V., foul mouth, foodie, traveler, wanderer, nature lover, dog lover, and all around just genuinely me. My office is always open, and you are welcome to stop by and say hello.

I am so excited to be the Retention Manager because I have spent my career helping students succeed. Be prepared to hear from me throughout the semester if I am your success coach.
When I鈥檓 not working, I like to bake, read, and exercise. I love playing the piano and musical theater. Before I came to 天涯社区log, I was a high school English teacher for over a decade. I love helping people with grammar. I am basically a big nerd. I am also a proud graduate of 天涯社区log!

I am an architecture and design aficionado and music enthusiast. In my free time, I enjoy camping, playing piano, reading, and drafting. I鈥檓 described by many as an old soul. I like vintage finds and classic design. I hope to one day be able to flip houses.

Learning Center Specialist, Access Services
You鈥檒l typically find me in the Adaptive Tech Lab (BH 187, located at the back of TLC), where I assist students with disabilities in using technology to become more independent in their coursework. I take pleasure in guiding students towards achieving their goals, whether they鈥檙e short-term or long-term.
I am an 天涯社区log alum and I鈥檝e valued a three-decade journey of marriage with my husband, weathering life鈥檚 adversities together, while raising our two sons, who also attended 天涯社区log, and loving on our two adorable dogs鈥攁 beagle and a basset hound. I find joy in dining out, movie/TV nights, soaking up the warm sun, and envisioning a future retirement spent by the beach.

I am a St. Louis area native who has been with the college since 1989. I鈥檝e taught as an adjunct instructor at 天涯社区log in the Mathematics and Science departments and am a retired High School Science teacher, where I鈥檝e had the pleasure of working with students for over 30 years.
My passion is reading, and you might not find a book I haven鈥檛 read. I also love playing trivia.

I鈥檓 a writer and lifelong learner with a background in film and television. While working in film, I actively mentored students who wanted to improve their craft and break into the industry. This is how I found my true passion for helping students find their unique voices and achieve their academic and professional goals.
I spend my free time watching movies, reading, playing video games, hiking, going to pro wrestling shows, trying interesting new foods, and hanging out with my two dogs and three cats. I鈥檓 currently working on finishing my first novel. I鈥檓 also an 天涯社区log alum, this school holds a special place in my heart.

I am an 天涯社区log alum and am so excited to return to 天涯社区log to serve as a Learning Center Specialist! Before returning to 天涯社区log, I was a Grant Writer who assisted in securing $19+ million in federal, state, local, & private grants for behavioral health programming. I have always loved reading and writing, & English was always my favorite subject in school. I am also interested in psychology and spirituality. I enjoy learning about critical theory & philosophy & thinking about things from multiple different perspectives to find deeper meaning. I honestly love learning in general! I also enjoy spending time in nature鈥攚hether it be walking, kayaking, or just enjoying a quiet, peaceful moment sitting in silence, listening to a podcast, or journaling. I spend most of my free time with my fianc茅 and two spoiled cats. We typically enjoy watching anime, playing video games, and dreaming of a future where we become fully self-reliant and live on an off-grid homestead. But until then, I am honored to be of service to students at 天涯社区log. I loved my time here as a student.

I enjoy working in the world of education, seeing others grow and light up when they learn a new concept, and getting to learn new things, myself, along the way. You will typically find me in HH 155. I am here to help, especially when you need to navigate those bumps in the road of online learning. If I can鈥檛 solve an issue, I will find someone who can.
Outside of work, I revel in spending time with family. My kids have started having their own kids, whom I adore. I also like traveling, listening to true crime podcasts, tooling around in the kitchen, and learning more about gardening.

I’ve lived in Union my entire life. I used to work various jobs in the medical field, and this is my first time working in higher education. I鈥檓 so excited to have the opportunity to help you on your college journey!
In my spare time, I watch all kinds of movies and TV shows, I play guitar and sing, I love to travel and ski anywhere I can, and play all sorts of board games.
