Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
Certified Nurse Assistant鈥檚 perform basic nursing skills to care for clients in long-term care facilities, hospitals and/or through home health agencies.
This class is a non-credit class that meets the classroom requirements (75 hours) of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for Certified Nurse Assistants and teaches entry level skills for skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. Students will be required to attend class meetings on a regular, scheduled basis; scheduled class meeting times will be published in advance. Simultaneously, after arrangement by 天涯社区log, students will need to complete their clinical training (100 hours of on-the-job training) in a long-term care facility. This 16-week program prepares students for the state certification exam.

What are the qualifications to get into a CNA Class?
- To take a CNA Program you must be 18 years of age.
- Individuals wanting to enroll in a CNA class cannot be listed on the state Employee Disqualification List (EDL).
- If you have been convicted or entered a plea of guilty to a misdemeanor or felony charge which includes any suspended imposition of sentence, any suspended execution of sentence or any period of probation or parole in this state or any other state which if committed in Missouri would be a class A or B felony violation of Chapters 565, 566, or 569, RSMo, or any violation of subsection 198.070.3, RSMo, or section 568.020, RSMo, unless a good cause waiver has been granted by the department.
How long is the CNA Program?
The CNA program consists of a minimum of 75 classroom hours and 100 clinical hours. The way we structure the class will determine how many weeks the course takes to complete. Some classes meet once a week; some classes meet multiple times per week. Most classes are scheduled to meet 2 times per week and last 15 weeks with an accelerated option available in May.
I have already been hired by a facility, but I am not certified yet. How long can I work?
You must be certified within 120 days (4 Months) of your start date if you are working in a Facility.
I will need help with tuition? Is financial assistance available?
